FAQ - Lawn & Garden Products
General
What are the benefits of nitrogen?
Nitrogen is important for a plant’s early growth and helps make them green and leafy. Tomatoes love nitrogen and will deplete the soil of it, so it’s important to add more.
What are the benefits of Phosphorus?
Phosphorus strengthens roots, wards off disease and helps with fruit and flowering.
What are the benefits of Potassium?
Potassium helps regulate how plants synthesize proteins and starches and help them deal with extreme weather conditions.
What is a “foliar spray” or “foliar feeding”?
This refers to spraying nutrients directly on the leaves of your plants where they can be absorbed through the small openings primarily on the underside of the leaves. It is best to spray plants under light wind conditions and in the early morning or late evening.
Grower's Secret Pro
How is Grower's Secret Pro applied?
Grower’s Secret Pro can be used as a heavy foliar spray, a root soak or a drip system. For trees, woody plants and shrubs, trunk and foliage sprays work best for flower and fruit enlargement effects.
What kind of fertilizer should I use?
With Grower’s Secret Pro, use a general-purpose fertilizer such as 20-20-20 or 15-30-15 with minor elements. Add more calcium or boron to prevent fruit deformities.
Will Grower’s Secret Pro damage or burn my crops?
Grower’s Secret Pro is extremely powerful and should be used only at the dilution levels recommended. Too much GS Pro can blow-up plants, though they do bounce back.
We recommend you test the product on a limited scale before putting it into wide-scale use. We always recommend you err on the conservative side of mix ratios and application schedules, use plenty of water and give your crops time to absorb the nutrients.
What is the shelf life of Grower's Secret Pro?
An unopened bottle of Grower's Secret Pro can last for two years or more. An opened bottle may last for 6 months.
What packaging sizes is Grower’s Secret Pro sold in?
Grower's Secret Pro is available in 1 ounce, 4 ounce, 32 ounce, 1 gallon and 5 gallon bottles, as well as larger sizes.
Is Grower's Secret Pro a fertilizer?
It depends whom you ask. We do not consider it a fertilizer; but to register it in every state, it needs to get placed in a category, and bio-stimulant is not an option. Grower's Secret Pro is registered as a “specialty fertilizer” in all but two states. In one state it is registered as a “soil amendment,” and in another state it is registered as a “commercial fertilizer.” States interpret federal guidelines differently and create their own regulations, which is why it is classified in one state differently then another. At this time bio-stimulants are not a recognized category by the federal government. However, “organic technology” is evolving and we would not be surprised if this becomes its own category soon. The good news is when your product does not fit into an existing category, you have a new invention. Case in point - your car registration was originally classified in the category of “horseless carriage” (1884), but Massachusetts and West Virginia were the first states to have the “automobile registration” category, in 1903.
Can Grower's Secret Pro be used through a drip system?
Grower's Secret Pro can be used in a drip system, however it is suggested that you know the cycle of your drip system including the time and the total number of gallons of water used in order to apply the proper amount. It is also recommended that you add it at the end of your drip cycle to prevent over dilution.
What is the proper mix ratio for Grower’s Secret Pro?
For vegetables and flowers, use 2 to 4 drops of Grower's Secret Pro in 1 gallon of water/soluble fertilizer, 1 oz in 125 gallons of water/soluble fertilizer per acre or resevoir system every two weeks or 2 oz in 250 gal of water/ fertilizer per acre or resevoir once a month.
For trees and shrubs use 8 drops per gallon of water/soluble fertilizer or 2 oz in 125 gallons of water fertilizer per acre or resevoir system every three to four months.

What is your base nutrient?
We believe the key to any successful grow is to provide plants with a complete, well rounded nutrition program. Many of our products are able to be used throughout the whole grow cycle in varying dilution rates (refer to feed chart) to provide your plants with the nutrition needed to have healthy, bountiful plants. We know that the professional grower knows their plants best. We have provided a mean to which professional growers can mix and match our product line to suit their particular nutrition needs and wants.

How often should I change out a reservoir when using GS method?
